Medical Assisting with Phlebotomy

This Medical Assisting Program combines the Clinical and Medical Administrative/Billing and Coding, EKG/ECG Technician, and Phlebotomy Technician programs into one comprehensive program. Medical Terminology and basic Anatomy and Physiology will also be covered. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will receive a certificate of completion. Participants qualify for certification by examination for Certified Clinical Medical Assisting, Medical Administrative Assistant and Billing and Coding Specialist, EKG/ECG Technician, and CPT 1 offered by the NHA. This program is designed to provide, thorough didactic, laboratory and practical instruction, a comprehensive overview of the role of the procedures of the Medical Assistant. After successful completion of the NHA examination, students will be eligible to apply to the DHS-LFS for California State Certification.

Registration Fee: $75.00
Tuition: $8,800.00
STRF Fee: $0.00
Books: $630.00

Students are also responsible for the following fees NOT paid directly to Institution:

Uniforms: $30.00
Background check and drug screen: $102.00
BLS American Heart Association for Health Care Providers: $85.00

Optional fee-Upon program completion
NHA Certification Exams: $647.00 (Phlebotomy national exam is required by the state of California)
State application fee for phlebotomy state certification (CPT1): $100.00

There is a minimum 200 hour externship following successful completion of the course.

Day program meets Mon-Thurs 9am-1pm for 30 weeks
(May include some Fridays to make-up for holidays)

Class begins Mon. May 21st – Thurs. Dec. 13th

Midday program meets Mon-Thurs 1:30pm-5:30pm for 30 weeks
(May include some Fridays to make-up for holidays)

Class begins Tues. Jan. 2nd – Thurs. July 26th
Class begins Mon. Mar. 12th – Thurs. Oct 4th
Class begins Mon. May 21st – Thurs. Dec. 13th

Evening program meets Mon-Thurs 6pm-10pm for 30 weeks
(May include some Fridays to make-up for holidays)

Class begins Tues. Jan. 2nd – Thurs. July 26th
Class begins Mon. Mar. 12th – Thurs. Oct 4th
Class begins Mon. May 21st – Thurs. Dec. 13th
